Security & audit logging
VidiLex includes built-in audit logging to support security reviews,
incident investigation, and compliance requirements.
Why logging matters
Audit logs answer simple but critical questions:
- • who accessed what
- • when changes were made
- • how permissions evolved
They provide transparency without disrupting daily work.
What is logged
- • authentication and login events
- • workspace access
- • role and permission changes
- • content creation and deletion
- • configuration changes
Logs are event-based — not content-based.
What is not logged
To protect privacy:
- • video content itself is not logged
- • transcript text is not logged
- • search queries are not retained beyond operational needs
- • no behavioral profiling is performed
Log integrity and retention
Audit logs are:
- immutable (append-only, protected against modification)
- retained for 90 days
- exportable in CSV and JSON formats
They support internal and external audits.
Fine-grained Access control
Access to logs is:
- admin-controlled (role-restricted)
- tenant-isolated
- never shared across customers
